CERTIFIED APPRENTICESHIP

Our rigorous, five year U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship Training certified program has been customized for the industrial electrical market. It all begins with an intensive 6-week, full-time, paid, in-house boot camp to ensure our new team members are safe and productive. The remaining four years of apprenticeship includes weekly classroom instruction and “hands-on” lab work at the MKD Training Center, as well as documented on-the-job training.

CERTIFIED JOURNEYMEN

To ensure that we have the highest quality industrial electricians and instrumentation technicians, our journeymen are tested and certified through NCCER.

As part of our ongoing performance program, they also have an individual development plan for continuous growth and improvement.

FIELD SUPERVISION

All project supervisors are trained to effectively supervise projects and personnel. This includes a yearly Foreman’s Academy that encompasses:

  • Safety
  • Planning
  • Job Costing
  • Scheduling
  • Client Relations
  • Materials and Tools
  • Job Productivity and Efficiency
  • Conflict Resolution and much more

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

All Project Managers receive extensive training, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and job costing, as well as project management certification through a nationally accredited university.

LEADERSHIP

Selected team members participate in a 12 month program wherein they learn various leadership concepts and how to apply them. Through group interaction and hands-on activities, they are given the opportunity to develop and hone these skills.
