At MKD Electric, we focus on building and maintaining strong relationships by continually meeting the needs of our clients. To make this happen, it requires a strong project management team.
Our Project Managers (PMs) are unique. Most of them have an industrial electrical background, where they spent time as Journeyman or Master Electricians before transitioning into Project Management.
All of our PMs go through a nationally recognized project management certification program at an accredited university and receive extensive and ongoing systems and processes training to refine their skills. They also do all of their own estimating. This combined approach allows for seamless coordination of design-build work from start to finish.
The background, training, and direct estimating capabilities of our Project Managers are what give us the ability to quickly solve problems, offer solutions, and meet the ever-changing and complex needs our of clients.
Our highly trained and diverse group of Project Managers are experienced at overseeing design/build projects. We offer great value in initial planning and design; budget and constructability analysis; and project execution.
MKD Project Managers do all of their own estimating using industry-leading estimating software. We provide detailed proposals that leave no guesswork on what our proposal provides.
Our software-based project scheduling allows us to update and closely monitor progress on a daily or weekly basis. We also complete detailed resource-loaded short- and long-interval schedules for use by our field leaders and crews to ensure open communications with all project support groups.
Detailed Project Tracking
As a function of our pre-planning process and our Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, we utilize a tracking database for your project. We input key project data for instruments, devices, motors and other critical components, then regularly update the various stages of completion of our electrical installation. We typically track conduit, wire, terminations, and testing.
The ability to provide up-to-the-minute status updates is a valuable tool for both your and our project team; this is also the basis of a detailed project turnover package at completion.
